Riesling should feel like that first swim of the summer. It jolts you and almost immediately is lingering and refreshing.
From 2023, this is the 14th consecutive vintage from the same Clare Valley vineyard. A pedigree that endures to the origins of Vinteloper. This is a wine that fills us with pride. It's a reflection of 13 previous years of experience, review and analysis of the 1%ers. Those learnings and focus are really beginning to bring results.
It starts with the straw green hue. A preview of the freshness to come. Green apple skin flavour and acidity braces. Then a tightly wound mineral palate layered with freshly squeezed lime juice, Meyer lemon, and a whisper of white flowers and honeycomb. A dead ringer for our 2022. Electric. The potential longevity of Riesling is apparent here, but equally, the balance allows for a rewarding young wine. -Vinteloper
