Tyrrell's '8 Acres' Shiraz
The old 8 Acres, always a bit richer than many, kind of like a Vat 9 in character, Vineyard planted in 1892.
Ripe, red berries, a little earth, and green peppercorn, but kind of generous and creamy in mid-palate, albeit in a finer-boned frame. Fine almost milk chocolate tannin, solid length. A little more come-hither than 4A, clean acidity, lively, but a little rugged, chewy and charry as a young wine. Good. 94 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
