Medium tawny with crimson hues. Deep, brooding aromas of dried sage, crushed flowering herbs, cooking spices, leather and black peppercorn, with blackberry compote and wild red berries. A lively, dry and savoury palate of brown spice, sage leaf and peppercorn, with a lift of tart red fruit on the palate, is balanced by bright rhubarb-like acidity and fine-grained tannins.
