Description
There is plenty of whole cluster influence on the perfumed aromas of red berries, spice, red and dark berries and a pretty hint of exotic tea. The energetic and beautifully delineated medium weight plus flavors exhibit focused power on the almost painfully intense and lightly stony, youthfully austere and hugely long finish. This is most impressive and a wine that should age gracefully thanks to its Zen-like harmony. Don’t miss!; Rating 93-96 Points; Allen Meadows; Burghound
The Clos St-Denis is the wine which received the most punching down during extraction. most punches down. Virulent purple, strict and sturdy stuff, pure red fruit, with some cherries. Cheerful vigorous fruit, slightly more tannins, all the weight, a little more backward than Clos de la Roche. This is a powerful, serious wine with a very long term future.
