Just shy of medium weight with tremendous tannin shape and drive. Scents of black cherry, sea spray, cinnamon, undergrowth and dried leaves – a savoury style with an almost umami-like amongst it all, yet a distinct vitality along the way. The lightest hue of the pinots this vintage and, given it’s a blend, the most approachable, too, as in immediately drinkable and pleasurable. Heady aromas – all florals and baking spices with wild strawberries and juicy cherries, and a touch of exotica.
