Description

The Fronsac appellation lies between the Isle and Dordogne rivers, with vineyards on limestone slopes surrounding the hilltop town of Fronsac. Château Beauséjour has remained in the same family for five generations since 1870, while the family has also owned Château Bel-Air in Pomerol since 1914.

A blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the wine sees partial ageing for 12 to 18 months in seasoned French oak. It offers strong value as an entry level Bordeaux.

“Lots of juicy fruit with blackberry and blueberry character and hints of flowers, too. Medium body, round tannins and a fresh finish." 92 Points - James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

"A rich, Merlot wine with some powerful tannins and ripe black fruits. It is a dense wine, concentrated with young acidity and a solid structure." 91 Points - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
