Description
Two different blocks make up the 2024 Bremley Pinot Noir. The first being our ‘Home Block’ which was planted in 2000. We are not entirely sure of clonal makeup but indicators point towards 114/115. This was hand picked on the 21st of March and makes 30% of the blend. The remainder came into the winery on April 11th, this being from our ‘Tree Block’ MV6. The fruit was gently de-stemmed and underwent whole berry ferment with gentle daily pump overs. It spent 20 days on skins before being transferred to large format François Frères puncheons (25% new) for 10 months.
Review of 2023 vintage - ‘Perfectly ripe dark cherries, plus some strawberries sprinkled with pepper. Spearmint and quince, a whiff of char siu pork. Beautifully harmonious, comfortable and complete. Sculpted muscle draped in satin, a wine that rolls in waves across the palate, fanning out with expansive, uber-fine tannins.’ 97 Points, Nick Ryan, The Weekend Australian, May 2024.
