Description
Sourced from vines planted in 1969, this Chardonnay is both detailed and powerful, with impressive length and complexity. One of the Yarra Valley’s finest, it drinks beautifully now but will reward time in the cellar.
“Light, bright yellow colour with fresh green-apple, oatmeal and nashi pear aromas, fruit driving the bouquet, the palate intense and focused, concentrated and long, with subtlety, delicacy and yet also restrained power, and bright acidity. Some toasty nut flavours join in the party with time in the glass. A very smart chardonnay with a lot of class. ” 96 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
"Yarra Yering Chardonnay feels both traditional and modern at once. It’s tight, zesty and fresh, with excellent fruit quality and power, though it also flashes a bit of (integrated) oak at you, which personally I enjoy (in chardonnay)." 95 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
