Description

A ten year old release from a higher altitude block sitting at 453 metres above sea level. Planted 1977.

Gee, this must have been a tight and acidic wine as a youngster, because even now, with the richness of bottle age coming in, it’s still tangy with a searing line of acidity. Lime and honey, some toastiness, mint/menthol, quince and truffle-like complexity. Lemony and saline, lip-smacking acidity, a subtle lemon barley sweetness, a fine powdery grip too, with a slight lemon/lime zest bitterness on a bony but long finish.
