Description
Medium-full colour, with a youthful tint; there are earthy/terracotta, pepper/spice and tapenade aromas of considerable complexity. The same flavours emerge in the mouth where it is medium bodied and intense with good tannins driving it with a touch of firmness, dried herbs and many other flavours chiming in. A very detailed shiraz in medium bodied regional style but with a bit more oomph than some other Tyrrell 2021s. Utterly delicious wine. 97 Points - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Vines planted in 1892. Exceptional colour for a relatively wet vintage. Cherries – even liqueur cherries – take control of the bouquet, the medium-bodied palate nodding in agreement, but bringing more, much more, to the party via a luscious assemblage of red and purple fruits. Whole bunches and berries have contributed, tannins making it clear that their presence is not a mere sinecure. The wine is a thing of beauty. 97 Points - James Halliday. Halliday Wine Companion
