Ripe raspberry and cherry, roast beef seasoned with thyme, some dried flowers and rosehip too. It’s fleshy and deep, concentrated red and blue fruit, ripe talc-like tannin, distinct rose oil and herb mouth-perfume, balanced acidity, and some blood orange tang and zest on a slate-y and powerful finish. A slight warmth to it, though nothing untoward. It’s a wine of substance and impact, and very good value too. 93 Points, Gary Walsh - TWF.
