The Clos St-Denis is the wine which received the most punching down during extraction. most punches down. Virulent purple, strict and sturdy stuff, pure red fruit, with some cherries. Cheerful vigorous fruit, slightly more tannins, all the weight, a little more backward than Clos de la Roche. This is a powerful, serious wine with a very long term future.
