Crafted by Distilleria Sangallo, a family-run artisan distillery established in 1964 in the picturesque village of Monterosso al Mare, part of the renowned Cinque Terre coastline . The Alpicella Liqueur d’Erbe is based on an ancient recipe from 1630, originally created by an alchemist monk who offered this herbal elixir to pilgrims visiting the Monastery on Velva Hill . This natural liqueur is produced through the maceration and distillation of 32 meticulously selected mountain herbs, resulting in a tonic and invigorating digestif . Best enjoyed neat, over ice, or with a splash of seltzer, Alpicella offers a harmonious blend of medicinal, rooty herbal flavors with a strong menthol presence and a lingering, dry finish . In recognition of its exceptional quality, Alpicella was awarded a silver medal at the World Liqueur Awards 2024.
