Antonio Benedetto Carpano is credited with creating the first modern vermouth in his Turin shop in 1786. Crafted from Italian white grape varieties sourced from Romagna, Puglia, and Sicily, the base wine is blended with a complex infusion of botanicals and caramelized sugar, following Carpano’s original formula. Antica Formula is distinguished by its unmistakable notes of high-quality vanilla, sourced from the tropical regions of Madagascar, Papua New Guinea, and Tahiti.
