Voyager Estate Chardonnay
I’m not sure when the label changed, but because I’m thorough, the bottle image here is the correct one. Ever a reliable performer, in the Chardonnay world. Whenever I taste Chardonnay, our own JH (John Humphrey) is in back of mind, that subtle and, frankly, formidable intellect, keeping me as honest as the day is long, which admittedly, is about one hour shorter in Queensland. So that advantage, we all have.
White nectarine, mixed citrus, almond, nutmeg and other assorted spice. It’s fluid and easy to drink, a gentle gloss and limey acidity to add bite, oak folded in neatly layering in more spice and toast, ripe and almond-laced on a long finish. No bumps. All pleasure. Lovely. 94 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
