Vincent Pinard 'Flores' Sancerre
Light straw-yellow colour, with a creamy lees and straw-hay, lightly toasty, cashew-nutty bouquet. In the mouth, it's delicate and crisp, intense and dry, refined and seamlessly-textured. Properly dry balance. A superb and classically styled sauvignon. Drink 2019–2025. 94 points, Huon Hooke
This is a cuvée from caillottes [little limestone stones], a step up from entry-level, which is Clémence. This is filled with lightly bitter citrus fruits on the nose, quite minerally, with a harmony to the fruit wrapped around it. The palate is delightfully pure, with a supple substance, elegant and well formed. It has a good weight of citrus fruits, peach fruit and peach-skin bitterness, with a little minerally-salty edge to it adding interest. It feels phenolic, with a slowly building bitterness, but it is balanced and integrated. A lovely wine in the making. 93-95 points, Chris Kissack, The Wine Doctor
