Description
“Once again there is a whiff of exoticism to the mostly floral and white peach scented nose. The supple and relatively easy-going flavors possess a seductive texture while coating the palate with sappy dry extract that contrasts with the citrusy finish that tightens up considerably as it sits on the palate. This will need to develop more depth to merit the upper end of my projected range.” 88-91 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound
“Super-creamy and leesy on the nose. Gorgeous lemon and lime and just a hint of toast but not oaky. Perfectly seasoned. Power and richness on the palate but no fat. Lithe rather than lean, and so persistent. Smoky in the empty glass. Salivating. Very long.” 17.5/20 points, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com
“First to be picked from their plot close to the excellent 1er Cru, Vide Bourse. Pale primrose, but the nose is hard to tease out. It is on the palate that the wine comes into its own, with more fruit than expected at all parts of the compass. Fair length too, graceful, attractive.” 90-92 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy
