Don’t mind me, but I think this is a much better wine than the 2016 First Growth, and it’s 1/3 of the price.

Blackberry, blackcurrant, black olive and light spicy cedar oak and a little bit of mint. Medium-bodied, good bit of chew to the texture, savoury appeal via dark chocolate and black olive, crisp small berried acidity, iodine and a bit of ‘mineral’ feel on a finish of good length. Really like this. Classic feel, drinking appeal, and some gravitas. 94 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
