LS Merchants Pinot Gris
DescriptionLS Merchants come in under the avant garde banner of Western Australia wine producers with some intriguing wines and wine styles. This is definitely more square than I have seen from them. Sees oak and stainless steel, natural ferment and some time on lees.
Textural, slippery white of pear and ripe apple characters, faint marzipan in bouquet and palate, good ease to drinking with some richness on its side. It feels good in the mouth, fresh, generous, good length and general sense of vitality. Perhaps missing some x-factor, you could say, but a good experience all up and very in keeping with variety. 90 Points, Mike Bennie. The Wine Front.
