Description

The Isolation Vineyard was planted in 1988, the same year I went to Sydney University for about one day, so I can tell you, it seems quite a while back for me too.

It’s a powerful style of Riesling, no doubt. Green apple, wet stones, lavender, lime and fresh yoghourt. Intense, bold, fine powdery pumice stone texture with perfume, guava and zest of lime, cool commanding acidity, but so settled and unobtrusive, almost a key lime pie richness carrying the very long finish. It’s discernibly different to most Australian Riesling, and plants its flag firmly in the powder. Wonderful. 96 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
