Description
“Medium to deep straw-gold colour. A very complex and very mature, developed bouquet loaded with vanilla, toffee, nut, resin and bruised apple aromas, plus some dried apricot. Building roast hazelnut. The wine is rich and full-bodied, the balance very dry and savoury, appetising and demanding food. There is richness and breadth as well as tightness and focus, and extra-long persistence. The apparent forward-development may be due to barrel usage. It's multi-layered and seems more evolved than expected for a 2012, showing quite a lot of barrel maturation character. A superlative wine of lip-smacking dryness.” 97 Points - Huon Hooke - The Real Review
