Eperosa 'Magnolia 1896' Shiraz
Vine Vale Shiraz. Vines planted 1896. Both dry- and organically-farmed.
Ripper. Gorgeous. A sumptuous lake of flavour. Nutty, berried, violetty, smeared with chocolate, brushed with cloves, darted with graphite. It’s a mouthful of ripe, sweet, Barosssa Valley goodness. It’s bursting at the seams and yet it’s fresh and fancy-feeling. Drinking it was a bit of a moment. 94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
The vines are pruned by hand, shoot and bunch thinning also by hand. The grapes are hand-picked and sorted, 1265 bottles made. Terrific colour clarity; the wine is full-bodied yet balanced to the point of elegance, with blackberry fruit trellised on ripe tannins. Why so cheap?" 98 Points - James Halliday
