Description
"Our white Burgundy (Chardonnay grape) comes from a plot located in the town of Volnay, in its eastern part, which is not on the hillside. The soils are quite deep, very clayey and not very calcareous. This plot of approximately 35 ares was historically exploited in sharecropping. Domaine Marquis d'Angerville took over direct exploitation after the 2016 harvest.
Our Bourgogne Blanc is vinified with the same care as our Premier Cru de Meursault. The age of the vines (around 30 years) allows them to give their full potential to the wine produced. Our Bourgogne Blanc is clean, tense, with lovely aromas, often lemony in its youth. Regional appellations are often an opportunity to discover a region, a grape variety, a terroir or a winemaker." Winery Notes
Pungent and ripe aromas are composed of petrol, straw, apple and citrus scents. The nicely vibrant and delicious middle weight flavors possess excellent verve that also suffuses the clean and focused finale. This well-made effort should be capable of rewarding a year or two of cellaring if desired. Burghound
