Domaine Dujac Puligny-Montrachet 'Les Combettes' 1er Cru
Note: from a .60 ha parcel
Here too there is a vague suggestion of the exotic to the aromas nut oil, pear liqueur and floral nuances that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is better density still to the delicious flavors that also culminate in a dry and firm but not really austere finish that is a bit more complex. Sweet spot Outstanding. 91-93 Points - Allen Meadows, Burghound
The white wines can sometimes be overlooked at Domaine Dujac, such is the quality of the reds, but they shouldn't be. This comes from a parcel of 50 to 70-year-old vines that was picked very early on August 29th. Beautifully balanced between freshness and concentration, it has 15% new wood, notes of cinnamon and vanilla spice and racy, stony acidity. 94 Points - Decanter
