Description

The wonderful Col Mountain vineyard 2020 Grenache Rosé came and went in a flash (there is more in barrel from 2021) and this tiny release of delicious red wine will follow suit. It is a fine match of climate, site, farming and variety. And then careful winemaking helps it across the line. The wine is made like the pinots noirs at Bindi; open vats, wild yeast, gently worked, malo-lactic and subtle ageing in fine French wood (all old in this case). There is a beautiful raspberry and pippy fragrance. It is very fruit pure but not sweet. The palate is creamy, fresh, balanced, savoury, long and very delicious. It's a revelation for us!
