What a lovely nose! The blackberry, smoke and earthy notes are beautifully interwoven — then there’s an equally impressive harmony of full, plush tannins and some real concentration. Scented, pure, bright and rather inviting, this is a very pretty wine with some obvious red fruit softening the palate and lightening the mood. It is nice to see the tension on the finish doesn’t detract from the whole allowing the wine to work its magic relatively unencumbered.
