Burn Cottage Riesling Grüner Veltliner
“Such character! Lime cordial, dusty spices, peach, white flowers, thyme etc. It’s juicy and just off dry, intensity of flavour almost like a Starburst, with a fine chalky texture, crushed rocks kind of thing, some preserved lemon tang and gentle bitterness, a bit savoury too, and very long. It’s compelling and fun at once. Good now, probably later too, but kind of hard to resist.” 95 points, Gary Walsh The Wine Front
“An interesting blend of compatible varieties with citrus, mandarin, lime zest, peach and a suggestion of passionfruit. Weighty, textural wine that develops wonderful sweet-and-sour tension. Initial sweetness leads to a moderately dry finish. An intriguing and very appealing wine which breaks the rules and succeeds magnificently.” 96 points, Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
