Description
Hailing from the small town of Priocca, home to vines, hazelnut trees, and Nutella, winemaker Renato Vezza is producing exceptional quality wines under his family label, Bricco Ernesto. The family have been custodians of the property for 4 generations - back in the day “Ernesto“ refused to sell the hill because he wanted to leave it to his grandson, hence why the wine is called Bricco Ernesto!
Roero Nebbiolo., very aromatic style. I’m thinking orange peel, dried herbs, menthol, spice and red cherry. Medium-bodied, fine brick dust tannin, dried red fruits and amaro, a certain coolness to it, but very refreshing and individual too. There’s also some almond paste sweetness, and a dry and boney finish of excellent length. Brightly lit and full of energy. 93 Points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front.
