Produced from Colombard, Ugni Blanc & Bacco grapes. Beautiful polished copper penny colour. Generous aromas of almond biscotti, vanilla bean and light cigar box; secondary nosings shift the emphasis to fruit cake, prune and hints of quince. Full bodied and well rounded with an early oak drive; flavours of walnuts and cigar box are followed by a sweeter, peppery burst of dried fig and fruit cake. Concludes warm, satisfying, finely tannic with vanilla, marzipan and drying oak in the fade. A classic big-boned Bas-Armagnac with plenty of personality.
