Description
The grapes for this Langhe Nebbiolo come exclusively from Vigna Rionda - one of the greatest crus of Serralunga. The estate planted new vineyards in 2013 and the young vines are used mostly to produce this wine. It's one of the best examples this year, intensely perfumed with an outstanding definition of rose petal, earthy strawberry and pomegranate. Full bodied, it is dominated by initially firm then refreshing acidity, with velvety tannins, a slightly chalky finish and amazing savouriness. 94 Points, Aldo Fiordelli, Decanter
Made with vines planted in 2012 in the celebrated Vigna Rionda cru in Serralunga d'Alba, this gorgeous, fragrant red boasts enticing scents of red forest berries, camphor, rose and potpourri. All about finesse, the vibrant, elegantly structured palate delivers juicy raspberry, red cherry, licorice and iron. It's impeccably balanced by taut, refined tannins and bright acidity.
