Blended from a range of clones and soil types on the Clyde Park vineyards, this wine reflects the diverse complexity of our site’s varying aspects and soils.
Deep ruby red in appearance.
A blend of all 5 blocks/7 clones of Pinot Noir on the Clyde Park Vineyard. This final blend enjoyed 9 months in 30% new French oak for 10 months after native fermentation with 35% whole bunch.
Aromas of brambly blackberries, mulberries, rhubarb and spice. The palate bursts with juicy red primary fruits, sour cherries, earthy spice and is well supported by well-integrated silky tannin and lively acidity. Though abundant up front the finish is long and savoury. Will impress on immediate consumption however will continue to develop complexity with careful medium-term cellaring. Enjoy with roasted root vegetables or Peking duck pancakes.
