Racked and returned to old barrel in September. Clear mid lemon. The nose starts quietly before the stones show through along with quite an elegant lemon scented fruit. Long and stylish, a little bit of flesh shows through towards the back along with some well-judged oak, this is going to be a relatively classic Corton Charlemagne. 93-96 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy

The 2020 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru had been racked a month prior to my visit. Lovely on the nose, Clementine, honey and white flowers, this is very seductive. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, clean and pure with a touch of stem ginger and grilled almonds on the finish, this is very well crafted.
